Finally started making first simple panels at end of August as they are fairly large and
simple. As they are quick to make and occupy considerable amount of space, Brian
can pick them up same time when he is picking up first set of the panels.
Managed to make door skins, front fenders and wings parts. Might not be much but
the doors alone are of considerable size and the fenders are just odd shaped too
so with those gone it made a lot of extra space. Bonus part of making the
fenders was to make sure the lip on top of the wheel arch came out ok as it is
rather tight to force mat into that area nd did not wanted to make another set
as with the first set of panels. Having bit of trouble with the lip around the
quarters and fenders, so rather then leaving the quarters for last, started in
making the quarters along with few smaller pieces to fill up the nights.
Surprisingly the left quarter came out very good with just mold parting flush
and so did the right quarter. Not sure if it was the different supplier of mat
and resin as it was bit different working with it but I guess the further
drive to get the materials may had been worth it or was it just the pure luck of
stuffing the mat into those arches.
