As the doors are hollow parts it is much easier to make the components
separately than have them bonded together.
Shell
The shell or inner door is very similar but smaller to what the door opening is
when looking at the sill or the U shape of the opening. Naturally there is much
more to the inner door structure then just the contour of the opening. For more

Skin
The skin or more the mold of the doors was actually made when the main body plug
was
constructed and pulled from the main plug before door opening where carved out
from the main plug. Outline of the doors was drawn on the main plug, scribed and
a thicker tape was used to raise the surface when making the mold to more easily
identify the door edge after and when part was pulled from the mold. To make the
doors symmetrical, paper template was used to transfer outline of the door to
the other side.

Trim
Trim for the door or what some people call it door card is the inner upholstered
panel with any decorative trimming plus door handles hardware plus any other
extra items like packets, speakers or lights
