As we are using Corvette control arms in the front but had decided not to use
the leaf spring. There is a proven upgrade or migration in the racing world to
use standard coil over springs/shocks combination in the standard shock location
mounts. The option is very appealing as the spring rate and ride height can be
easily and inexpensively changed. With the lower control arm setup for trunion
type mount by Chevrolet we had opted to use double sheer type for the upper
mount so that we can use spherical joint on the upper mount manly because of
majority coil over setups are manufactured for double spherical mounting and
their travel between compressed and fully extended position is greater then
other type and the only thing we would have to use is a trunion going through
bottom of the coil over mount.
