The rear diffuser as it is fully finished all the way around is made in 2 parts,
bottom part which has all the fins to control air turbulence and top part to act
as down ward wing introducing small down force and also finishing the part as it
will be visible through the vent grill.
The bottom part in the sides has metal plates with nuts fiber glassed in to
provide mounting to the quarter panels then the top is secured to the bottom with
short strand reinforced fiberglass mix. All of the exposed edges are covered and
filled in with gel coat to hide any exposed fiberglass strands that could
potentialy be exposed through the paint. There is a leading vertical flange to
the part which acts as mounting which is bolted into bottom of frame to a welded
in threaded bolts.
